Movies about interpreters
Movies are the most vivid form of art. Unfortunately, there aren’t many movies about interpreters… The best-known movie in the Soviet Union was Georgy Danely’s Autumn Marathon (1979).
The Interpreter, directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn was released in 2005.
In 2006 we anticipate the premiere of the Russian television series - «Russian Translation» based on Alexander Konstantinov’s novel The Journalist.
