Forest Brothers: Bruce Willis and Gosha Kutsenko

It’s not every day that Hollywood stars come to Russia. And very few visit our country with the purpose of representing cartoons… Bruce Willis, as usual, was original – in May he came to Russia for the premier of the Dream Works film Dream Works “Over the Hedge.” During the visit, the film star was accompanied by interpreters from TransLink: Oksana Borisova, Natal'ya Duhanina, Aleksei Orlov.

Bruce Willis was the voice of the main hero in “Over the Hedge” — RJ the raccoon. At the press conference the actor said that it was not very easy to adapt his voice to that of a raccoon “My voice in the cartoon is much higher than what it is when I am at a press conference, it is very sexual and a cartoon is nonetheless for children. And in general, after being in a raccoon pelt, I needed a psychoanalyst”. In the dubbed Russian version, Gosha Kutsenko did the voice over for the raccoon, he also was present for the premier. Together the two actors were particularly colorful and allowed themselves to be photographed and gave out signatures.

Oksana Borisova said: «the visit of Bruce Willis to Moscow was very intense. The necessary events and the huge number of meetings: press conferences at Interfax, the premier of the film in the Pushkinsky Cinema Centre, private interviews with journalists, shootings for the TV program Detali with Tina Kandelaka. Thanks to Bruce’s unrestrained sense of humor, the mood of his visit is just impossible to convey!»

To the invariably question of journalists, was it easy to get accustomed to the role of a raccoon? Bruce joked “In order to deal with such a complex mission, I had to live for some time with a family of raccoons. At night they would gather round and sit on my chest and ask to be photographed… it’s a good thing that it’s now all in the past!”
